Bowling Green State University Greek Life Housing

As one of the most successful Greek Communities in the nation, fraternities and sororities on campus work very closely with the University, fostering a partnership that is matched by few.
Among the most notable programs is the relationship between Greek Chapter Houses and the University’s Office of Residence Life. With the help of a University-paid, live-in graduate student, each chapter on campus has a special connection with the school. These graduate students do not act as policeman and policewomen for the Greek Chapter Houses, but rather as advisors that help with every aspect of life.
This innovative idea may not work on every campus, but Bowling Green University has utilized a program that has more than improved the state of Greek affairs on campus. To learn more about Bowling Green's Greek Life Housing please click here.

In each issue of "The Bottom Line", we will take a look at a unique and effective fraternity program. In this issue, we offer "The ATO Roadshow." If you know of another fraternity program that is innovative and should be shared with others, please let us know.

The ATO Roadshow

Riding the popularity of ESPN’s “Gameday” program, where the network’s college football broadcast team bases their show at the site of the premier game each week, Alpha Tau Omega has spawned “ATO Roadshow.” The crew for “Roadshow” selects one chapter deemed most successful in a variety of areas, including community service, image and individual success of the chapter’s members. The “Roadshow” program sets up shop at that chapter, interviewing the members and highlighting the chapter’s achievements. Throughout the show, segments on other successful chapters will be shown as well. Once the program is completed, it’s produced on DVD and distributed nationwide to the fraternities chapters. The program is seen not only as a way of recognizing success, but spurring it on at other chapters as well by providing both an blueprint of how to increase success at the chapter level and an incentive for doing so.
